The Napoli soccer team from Italy will wear shirts with the Upbit cryptocurrency exchange’s logo on them.
Napoli, the top team in the Italian Serie A, Acquires a Crypto Sponsorship Serie A, the top-tier professional soccer league in Italy, and Dunamu Inc. of Korea established a collaboration that will make the Korean fintech company the team’s official back-of-shirt and cryptocurrency exchange partner for the current and following season.
The agreement, which includes all of Napoli’s Serie A, Coppa Italia, and friendly games, will have the Upbit emblem positioned underneath the player’s number on the back of their jerseys.
The club stressed the significance of the deal with Dunamu in light of Napoli’s plans to grow its South Korean fan base.
Kim became the second-highest scoring Korean to ever play in Serie A when he scored two goals in his first few weeks with Napoli.
Tommaso Bianchini, chief international development officer of Napoli, said: “We’re delighted to have secured this arrangement with the South Korean company Dunamu, a leader in its area.
Leading Italian football clubs with cryptocurrency sponsors don’t just include Napoli.
Bitget, a cryptocurrency derivatives market, announced a collaboration with Juventus in September of that year, and Inter signed a $100 million sponsorship with the blockchain firm Zytara Labs.
