Nigeria Police Force (NPF) spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced the arrest of politician Wilfred Bonse in connection with the theft of 200 million naira from Patricia Technologies’ crypto wallet.
The NPF, through its National Cybercrime Center, has made significant strides in the case, addressing criminal conspiracy, unauthorized computer system alterations, and the diversion of funds exceeding 200 million naira.
The arrest follows a petition to the inspector general of police outlining these offenses. The statement disclosed Bonse’s involvement in the theft, cryptocurrency wallet conversion, and unauthorized fund diversion from Patricia Technologies. Several individuals are allegedly involved, with some still evading arrest.
